Skills Canada BC is offering transportation subsidies for class groups who want to join us at the Annual BC Skills Competition.
Since 1994, Skills Canada BC has organized annual provincial skills competitions for youth in the Province of BC. This competition is a showcase of trades and technology occupations in demand in today’s workforce.
Over 9000 visitors come together to witness the highly charged and competitive environment where over 500 youth demonstrate their skills in contest areas including Carpentry, Culinary Arts, Graphic Arts, and Welding.
The provincial competition provides teachers with the opportunity to show their classes many of the trades and technology careers available today. In addition to the competitions, our “Pathways to Career Showcase” provides students an opportunity to meet representatives from various career and educational organizations.
Admission is free and Skills Canada BC will subsidize the cost of transportation to the event up to a maximum of $200 on a first come first serve basis.
